CAM - WILLIAM O. GOLDING
Telfair Children's Art Museum
The second CAM installation features the work of William O. Golding, an artist from Liberty County, GA. Golding was an African American sailor during the late 19th century and early 20th century who drew art of the ships he was on and places he visited. He was a folk artist who used pencil and crayons to create his art. Despite his childlike style, the ships Golding drew were extremely detailed and accurate thanks to his time as a sailor.
